I am a furniture and product designer that has been inspired massively through working at a children's nursery. Observing how children learn and interact with furniture and toys has really encouraged me to get involved in this market.

Children learn best when they are given the freedom to explore and have a go. Therefore, it is imperative that products within early years settings are appropriate and stimulating for children. That is what has prompted me to make the LFF1. Although it has the simple function of offering storage and hanging space, it also has a deeper influence on children. By encouraging children to hang up their own belongings they become more responsible and independent, and gain a wealth of self-confidence.
